Author Stephenson-Love's second book, Growing Up With Russell, recounts 100 years of his family's involvement with many of the paintings which hang in the C M Russell Museum today, the C M Russell home and studio, and the origins and growth of the C M Russell Museum.
The author tells the stories of several Russell paintings, including pieces from the Silver Dollar Saloon collection, The Exalted Ruler, Buffalo Hunt #3, and more. Other stories tell how Russell's log cabin studio became a public park, the near destruction of the Russell's home, and how Nancy Russell controlled the C M Russell Museum for 50 years after her death.
