The Unemployment Insurance Division is experiencing an extremely high volume of requests for information. Depending upon the volume of inquiries, it may take several days for you to receive a response. We ask that you review the following information prior to sending your question. Your assistance will result in faster responses to your questions.

  1. Before sending a question, please check our website or your Claimant Handbook to see if you can locate the information you are seeking. Most commonly asked questions about unemployment insurance can be answered for you on our website at or in the Claimant Handbook at If you have a question about the status of your claim, please logon to and select the option "View Claim Information".
  2. Send your questions once. We answer questions in the order in which they are received. Sending your question multiple times will not result in a faster response. If you have sent us your question(s), please do not also call the Claims Processing Center. You will receive a response from your inquiry.
  3. Give the system time to update before asking a question. For instance, if you filed your biweekly request for payment on Sunday, wait until Tuesday to check if your payment has been issued.
  4. When you send a question, please reference your ID number on the request and not your social security number. Your ID number will be located on the right side of any claim form you receive from us. Also include your name and phone number with your question.
