The Yellowstone History Journal is the first-ever journal devoted exclusively to the history of the world’s first national park.It is currently an annual publication with the first edition being published in 2018 and the second in 2019. The Journal is published by the Yellowstone Historic Center (YHC), a non-profit located in West Yellowstone that is dedicated to understanding, preserving, and interpreting the local cultural heritage and history and how that history relates to Yellowstone National Park. Every step of producing the Journal is organized by the staff and board of the YHC. The editor of the Journal, a board member located in Montana, organizes contributing writers, the design work, copy editing, and printing. The staff and the board work together to organize selling and promoting the Journal. The YHC sells the Journal direct to consumers via online sales and gift shop sales. The Journal is sold wholesale to many stores in the Yellowstone area.
