The Montana Land Information Advisory Council (MLIAC) will meet on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lewis and Clark Library in Helena, MT. Meeting attendance will also be available on Zoom.

In this meeting, the Council will consider action on a past executive summary. They will hear standing reports from MAGIP, the GIS Coordinator about the MLIA Grant program, GIS Coordination, and Strategic Goals Implementation, and the State Librarian about the MLIA Financial Report. They will discuss the 2023 legislative session, COVID-19 Pandemic Response Wrap-up, and HB 343 MLIA Legislative Changes Task Force.

The meeting will be followed by a work session at 11 a.m. to discuss revised legislation and future of the Council. No business will be conducted.

Members of the public who wish to share written comments or pertinent visual materials to the Council must submit written public comment to GIS Coordinator, Erin Fashoway, no later than 24 hours before the start of the public meetings.

The Montana Land Information Advisory Council was established by statute through the Montana Land Information Act with the purpose of establishing a planning framework for land information and granting process for Montana.  Members of the Council represent federal and state agencies, tribes, private businesses, local governments, the university system, and the Montana legislature.
