Curious to know more about ongoing design for realigning and improving US Highway 89 between Choteau and Bynum? The public is encouraged to attend Montana Department of Transportation's (MDT) informational open house meeting on Monday, June 24, 4 to 7 pm at the Choteau Library located at 17 Main Avenue, Choteau, MT. Information will be available to describe re-alignment plans, project schedule, and important new design features and benefits. Including widening U.S. 89 to 32-feet wide with 4-foot wide shoulders; improved alignment and side slopes for safety; resetting two historical markers; updating signage, pavement markings and adding rumble strips; and drainage improvements.
You may come and go as you wish between the hours of 4 to 7 PM. MDT staff will be available to personally discuss the project and answer questions. You
