The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is conducting an open house meeting to discuss with the public the potential improvements to the Gore Hill Interchange (Exit 277) and Interstate 15 (I-15). The open house will be held in Great Falls on Thursday, April 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Crystal Inn Hotel & Suites (3701 31st St. SW). Project team members will be available during the open house to discuss the project while explaining the planning and design process. MDT recognizes the impact this project will have in the Great Falls community and on the traveling public. The open house will be held to inform interested parties about the scope and purpose of potential improvements, collect feedback, and answer questions. Traffic and safety analyses and conceptual designs have recently been completed that examined potential improvements for the Gore Hill Interchange and I-15 between the 10th Avenue South and Gore Hill interchanges. The examinations included several improvement scenarios which were evaluated for traffic operations, safety, construction impacts, and other considerations. The key findings of the analyses will be discussed at the open house. The purpose of the project is to address safety and operational concerns. Community participation is a very important part of the process, and the public is encouraged to attend. Opinions, comments, and concerns may be submitted in writing at the meeting; by mail to MDT Great Falls District Administrator Doug Wilmot, P.O. Box 1359, Great Falls, MT 59403-1359; or online at: mdt.mt.gov/mdt/comment_form.shtml Please note that your comments are for project UPN 9345000.
