The goals and outcomes of the Montana State Library Disaster Ready Summit include the following:

Goals

1.      To create a disaster-ready culture in all Montana libraries.

2.      To bring together librarians and emergency planners to discuss roles libraries can play to create greater community resilience. 

3.   To learn about disaster resources and products from the National Library of Medicine.

Outcomes (within 10 weeks following the Summit)

1.   Participants will have completed a one page disaster plan (participants can choose guided support).

2.   Participants will have made contact with at least one local emergency planner.

     [Note:  A virtual follow-up webinar to discuss accomplishments and challenges will take place 10 weeks after the Summit.]
