In the mid-winter of 1972, 100 grassroots delegates gathered in Helena for what many would recall as the proudest time of their lives. Two months later, they walked down the aisle and unanimously signed the new Montana constitution which would affect the lives of generations of Montanans to come. This is the story of those 100 delegates and the tumultuous times that ignited their fervor. Over 30 years later, in a new century, this is the story of their legacy.
